Why can players add events?
Playerlineup.com is used by many kinds of teams. Our goal is to avoid situations where the team’s activity depends on one or two people, and instead enable as many members as possible to be active. For example, in adult and recreational teams it’s important that someone other than the manager can create a new event: a new match or even a sauna evening. This boosts team spirit and saves the coach’s time. It also empowers enthusiastic members of the team.
All users of the team pages can add events, but members can edit and delete only the events they created themselves. If the team wants otherwise, a manager can restrict adding events to managers: Manager > Team settings, "Event creation is restricted only to managers". A person with manager permissions can edit all team events. The team manager can also check the Team log to see who created a new event and when.
