Why can everyone set others IN or OUT? - Naming the lineup - IN?
Editing sign-ups is open to every team member, so that the attendance stays as up to date as possible and there are no bottlenecks where only a manager could make the needed changes.
For example, when Liisa and Leena are on their way home from work together, Leena mentions she is coming to the evening practice but will not get online in time. Liisa can then sign Leena up for her. In children’s teams this occasionally invites pranks, but they are easy to sort out from the event’s log, which shows who signed up whom and when.
The Team log and the sign-ups show who signed up whom. The log is kept for a month, for Pro Package teams eight months.
Naming the lineup for an event: In some teams the coach wants to name the lineup by signing the players up for the event. The players then see which events they have been named to and can confirm their own sign-up. When someone else has signed a player up, the player sees the IN button in yellow with a question mark (IN?). Pressing the button confirms the sign-up, after which it shows as made by the player themselves.
The event page’s “Printable list” link shows the sign-ups together and whether they have been confirmed.
